Environmental Mission Statement


Travelling Around 


Gleberry Support offers community based support.  This means that we are driving motor vehicles 7 days a week, sometimes around the clock.  We take our responsibility for the environment very seriously.  As of Dec 23 we currently have 70% electric vehicles which we aim to keep until they reach 120,000 miles or 8 years old.  This means our impact on the environment is lower than using petrol or diesel cars.  We also use green charging ports or residential/commercial charging stations as much as possible.


Managers work remotely when possible and we hold some of our meetings online to help reduce our carbon footprint and costs.


Systems and Processes


We aim to be 97% paper free by Dec 2024.  We currently do not print rotas or staff forms where possible and use online systems.  This cuts down paper use and helps us remain compliant, e.g., by having all the information in a centralised point.


Our marketing materials are limited, as much as possible, to recycled paper or sent electronic where possible.


Our services are designed to be in the community with low impact offices.


PPE and Other Resources


After the Covid 19 pandemic it has been very difficult to have recycled PPE.  This is something we are always looking at and trying to find cost effective and environmental processes to reduce our carbon footprint.


Staff Training


All of our staff are advised and are currently undertaking training in working in an environmentally effective way.
